Glynderwen House is a Residential Care Home located in Swansea established in 2005. The home is registered for up to 11 Service Users with complex needs.
It cares for adults aged 18-65 years with learning difficulties, autism, challenging behaviour, early onset dementia, epilepsy, OCD and other complex needs.
Glynderwen is a Victorian property close to the main high street in the village of Clydach and can be easily reached from Junction 45 of the M4. Close to all amenities and local shops that can be found in the village itself, while the city of Swansea is just 6 miles / 20 minutes’ drive away.

The Home
The home has a communal lounge, activity room, activity coordinator, dining room and sensory room, hot tub, in addition to a rear garden with a patio area, flower borders and lawn.
The home consists of 2 detached self-contained flats and 1 self contained flat within the main house. There are eight large bedrooms spread over two floors, four of which have en-suite bathrooms. Two bathrooms, two shower rooms and six toilets are available for communal use, both on the ground and first floor.
Also located in the grounds is a separate annex, called the Coach House, which also has its own area of the garden. The building provides accommodation for two individuals in self-contained one bedroom flats and is ideal for those who are currently in transition.
Activities & Transport
Residents are able to take part in many activities within the home, such as fitness, arts & crafts, I.T., therapeutic sessions, games (both indoor and outdoor) and gardening. They can also access a wide range of activities in the community, including going shopping, attending college, going to the cinema, attending concerts, going to social clubs in the local area and use of the company’s purpose built activity centre in Swansea.
The home provides two vehicles which enable service users to take part in activities outside the home, attend appointments or visit family.
